MOST's OnTarget technology serves as the framework for MOST solutions. OnTarget provides an expert tool set to serve legacy software discovery, assessment, integration and modernization.

From the outset the MOST approach to modernization has been based on applying software tools and techniques to support the modernization task at hand. Over the years MOST's in-house R&D team have continued to develop and improve on the automated tools that have been built to support the different modernization assignments that MOST has undertaken.

These tools, collectively referred to as OnTarget, have encapsulated the experience gained from past projects and are at the disposal of MOST's analysts and software engineers in executing the assignments currently at hand. In addition to the project staff managing the project, each project has assigned to it one or more members of the MOST R&D group who serve to support the deployment of the requisite MOST tool and where relevant extend or customize the tools in accordance with the project's requirements.

Deploying OnTarget technology has reduced overall projects costs resulting from:

• Significant risk reduction by deferring many of the project tasks at hand to automated processes in place of manual processes.
• Ability to deliver on time and on budget through the deployment of OnTarget tools during project planning phases in order to highlight project scope and potential complexities early on in the process
